DEPRESSION
AND ANXIETY
Depression and anxiety do not always co-exist, however two out of
three people diagnosed with depression also have anxiety symptoms. Depression
includes emotions such as hopelessness, despair and anger. Energy levels
are low and the day-to-day tasks and personal relationships essential
to life may seem overwhelming. Anxiety symptoms often include a constant
nagging worry or fear and a feeling of general nervousness. Panic attacks
may restrict a person’s ability to work, maintain relationships,
or even leave the house.
